Across the Universe

I saw the most amazing movie last night! I didn't think I'd be posting stuff like this on my blog, but I was mesmerized by the visual feast of "Across the Universe" - a movie whose story is told through Beatles songs. The cinematographer held me spellbound for the duration of this film. Although it definitely appealed to my latent Hippie tendencies, as a photographer it inspired me with the rich tones, angles and life that flew off the screen! Absolutely amazing! I rushed out and bought the soundtrack today, as the Beatles covers are breathtakingly - and sometimes achingly - beautiful. A must see.
